Delete My Account
Last updated: 25 August 2026
You can ask us to delete your MoneyGrad account at any time, and you do not have to give a reason. This page explains how to make the request, what happens to your data, and how long it takes.
Ready to go ahead? Email contact@inviwise.com from the address registered on your account, with the subject “Delete my MoneyGrad account”.
1Before you start
Deleting your account is permanent. It cannot be reversed, and we cannot restore the data afterwards — if you want a copy of anything, save it before you send the request.
- Settle what is open: clear any pending splits or settlements with other people first. Deleting your account does not cancel money you owe or are owed.
- Deposits and investments: any holding booked through MoneyGrad continues to exist with the institution that holds it. Deleting your MoneyGrad account does not close, redeem or transfer it — deal with the institution directly.
- You will lose access: your history, budgets and saved preferences go with the account. Starting again later means starting from scratch.
2How to request deletion
Send an email to contact@inviwise.com from the email address registered on your account, with the subject “Delete my MoneyGrad account”. Include:
- the email address registered on the account, and
- the mobile number registered on the account.
We ask you to write from the registered address because it is how we know the request is really yours. If you no longer have access to that address, tell us and we will verify you another way before doing anything.
We will acknowledge your request within 2 working days and confirm before anything is erased.
3What gets deleted
Once the request is confirmed, we remove:
- Your profile: name, date of birth, gender, marital status, occupation and income range.
- Your contact details: email address and mobile number.
- Your identity data: the Permanent Account Number (PAN) held for identity verification.
- Your financial data: everything synced or parsed into the app — transactions, balances, budgets, categories, splits and settlement history.
- Your permissions: the email-parsing and notification permissions you granted, which stop immediately.
- Your device data: app preferences and session records.
4What we keep, and why
A small amount of information has to survive the deletion, because the law requires us to keep it or because it no longer identifies you:
- Records the law requires us to hold: where a statute or a regulator obliges us to retain a record, we keep only that record, only for as long as the obligation lasts, and we do not use it for anything else. It is deleted once the period ends.
- Anonymised and aggregated data: statistics that can no longer be traced back to you, and which we cannot re-identify.
- Records of the deletion itself: proof that you asked and that we acted, which is what lets us answer a later question about your request.
5How long it takes
We acknowledge your request within 2 working days, and complete the deletion within 30 days of confirming it. Backups roll over on their own cycle, so a copy may persist in an encrypted backup for a short period after that — it is not accessible in the app and is overwritten in the normal course.
We will email you when the deletion is done.
6Alternatives worth knowing about
If the problem is narrower than the whole account, you may not need to delete it:
- Stop the email parsing: withdraw the email permission from your device settings and we stop reading transactional emails, while your account stays.
- Stop hearing from us: unsubscribe from any email we send, or write to us, and we will stop the messages without touching your data.
- Correct something instead: you have the right to have inaccurate data fixed. Tell us what is wrong and we will correct it.
